Reed MIDEM launches Paris Real Estate Week
The organiser of the annual MIPIM property expo has unveiled the programme for its replacement French event this year, the Paris Real Estate Week between 14-17 September, after MIPIM 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19.
The programme features debates, conferences, awards and an exhibition area to showcase and discuss a range of topics in property, city building and innovation. Among the speakers confirmed are JLL, BNP Paribas Real Estate, AG Real Estate, Prologis, Arcelor Mittal, and others.
The event in Paris will be built around Propel by MIPIM, an event formerly known as MIPIM Proptech Europe, which focuses on technology and other innovation in property.
In particular, September’s event will focus on the industry shifts that the current health crisis has prompted, with separate focus events including a City Forum on 16 September, featuring decision makers from French local authorities assessing how the pandemic has affected real estate, and an institutional investors’ roundtable on 15 September to discuss the best investment strategies to adopt at such a time.
An awards ceremony to celebrate major projects from 19 countries, and sessions on individual sectors of real estate including hospitality, residential and industrial, are also planned.
“Paris Real Estate Week is designed to support the property sector during the current global upheaval,” said Ronan Vaspart, director of MIPIM.
“We look forward to welcoming leaders in innovation and real estate to this event next September, and continue to work on the operational elements required to ensure the safest environment possible for all delegate.”
The next edition of MIPIM 2020 will take place in March 2021, in Cannes.
