Redrow earmarks Local Plan land for 200 homes

The housebuilder has submitted plans for a £43m development in Congleton, on land allocated for housing in the draft Cheshire East Local Plan.

The proposed scheme is for 202 homes across 14-acres on land off Macclesfield Road. It includes a selection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes, including the provision of affordable housing.

The development features a number of different house types from Redrow’s heritage collection. Plans also include the creation of a large area of public open space, along with an ecological area to support local wildlife.

A decision on the planning application is expected later in the year.
