Recruitment agency relocates Manchester operations

Strativ Group is moving from Tower 12 on Bridge Street to a new office at Catella APAM’s Cornerblock on Deansgate.

The recruitment firm, specialising in the life sciences and cyber security sectors, has signed a five-year lease on a 5,500 sq ft office at Cornerblock.

Strativ joins other tenants OneFile, Search Consultancy, Arch Europe, and Resource Solutions Group within the building.

“Following the completion of our extensive refurbishment of the vacant units and amenity provision, we are delighted with the response from the market,” said Andrew Day, senior asset manager at APAM.

“The refurbishment brought forward best-in-class office provision with strong ESG credentials and the success has been demonstrated by the recent letting to OneFile and now Strativ Group.”

Sixteen Real Estate acted for APAM in the deal, while Knight Frank represented Strativ Group.

Scott Shufflebottom, director at Sixteen Real Estate, said the Strativ deal is a “testament to the quality of both the product and the excellent location”.

“APAM speculatively delivered a stunning but flexible tenant fit-out providing Strativ with the ability to acquire office space without the headache and capital requirements of procuring their own fit.”

APAM acquired the 61,000 sq ft Cornerblock from Credit Suisse on behalf of Britannia Invest A/S, in October 2020 for just shy of £25m.

The company then embarked on a refurbishment of the six-floor building.

The building, previously known as Overseas House, was once owned by Bruntwood, which offloaded the asset in 2015.

The ground floor is let to Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Starbucks.
