RBS funds £14m Formby residential scheme

Southport-based York Homes has started construction work on a £14m residential development in Formby after securing funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland's property finance team in Liverpool.

The Cable Street development is being built on a former mushroom farm and features a mix of three and four bedroom properties close to the centre of Formby.

Phase one involves 25 homes and is scheduled for completion in November. Phase two will see 12 more homes and once finished, York said, the project will be one of the largest residential schemes to have been built in the area during the past 20 years.
