Quorum promises more Heywood deals after Peakway sale

Quorum Estates is confident of completing deals with further occupiers after selling 14,300 sq ft in two units, along with 1.6 acres, at Quest Park near Rochdale to Peakway Construction Group.

Peakway operates nationally and consists of four companies: Speakmans Construction, Banson Electric Co, Bolton Scaffolding and Holts Decorators.

The refurbished estate, next to Heywood Distribution Park, is now more than half let. Daniel Burn from joint letting agent King Sturge said: "The refurbishment of the first phase undertaken by Quorum Estates has provided an extremely high standard of accommodation and Speakmans' decision to take occupation will act as a high profile anchor in attracting further businesses to the scheme."

Paul Cook from Quorum Estates commented: "We have now sold around 50% of the warehouse space at Quest Park and hope to conclude other deals shortly."

Quorum Estates purchased Quest Park at the end of 2007 and carried out a refurbishment. The first phase of the scheme includes ten warehousing units, ranging in size from 2,750 sq ft to 7,700 sq ft.

Nolan Redshaw and King Sturge are joint agents for the scheme.
