Quorum acquires Heywood industrial site
Quorum Estates has purchased a 4.4-acre former logistics and distribution site in Heywood, Bury, from Hanson Transport.
The developer plans to relaunch the site on Moss Hall Road as Quest Park, comprising three buildings measuring 58,000 sq ft in total, 5,000 sq ft of which is already occupied by ATS Euromaster.
Paul Cook, of Quorum Estates, said: "We acquired the site within a tight timeframe just before Christmas. In response to occupier requirements, we will be dividing the two existing units into smaller units of 2,500 sq ft up to 30,000 sq ft, which will be fully refurbished and then available either to buy or lease.
"In addition, there is around two acres of development land at the front of the site, capable of accommodating up to around 30,000 sq ft of office or industrial development."
Dan Crawshaw of sales agent Nolan Redshaw added: "Following our initial appointment by Hanson in October last year, we negotiated with a number of parties before finalising the deal with Quorum. We have now been retained by Quorum to market Quest Park which, in addition to the existing units, offers the potential for additional development at the front of the site."
Nolan Redshaw are joint agents for the scheme with King Sturge.
