Quirk joins SGi board
The consultancy promoted structural engineering division lead Paul Quirk to its board of directors.
Quirk has worked at SGi Consulting Engineers since 2005 as a senior engineer, working to build relationships across the firm’s diverse client base and rising first to associate director before being appointed to oversee the structural team as structural director in the Manchester office.
He has 16 years’ experience in the industry, having qualified as a chartered structural engineer in 2003 and working for firms including Healey Consulting, Sinclair Knight Merz, and Integra Consulting Engineers.
Quirk said this week he has always strived to become part of the management of a civil and structural engineering company, and welcomes the opportunity to do this at SGi.
“We are experiencing distinct changes within our workload and the forecast for the next two years is strong,” he said.
“In particular, it is clear to see that growth in the UK logistics sector, and more recently in manufacturing, is providing a number of very exciting opportunities for us to expand.”
