Prime adds to transport expertise
Prime Transport Planning, the specialist consultancy launched earlier this year, has hired senior planner Daniel Bimpson from AECOM.
Prime was founded in March by director Dave Schumacher and associate director Mark Clements, who both previously worked in-house for Gladman Developments. In six months the consultancy has expanded from a team of four to seven planners.
Bimpson will work alongside former AECOM colleague Marc Francis, who joined Prime at the time of its launch.
The consultancy specialises in the production of transport statements, assessments and travel plans, as well as advising on access, vehicle routing, masterplanning, sustainable travel and highway capacity.
Bimpson said: “There’s currently a lot of opportunities out there for transport planners specialising in development. I chose to join Prime, however, as I believe in the ‘people first’ principles upon which Dave and Mark have founded the company, combined with the technical expertise of members of the team I have worked with before. With a strong order book and an appetite to grow the business, I’m looking forward to the journey of making Prime the go-to transport planning consultancy in the North West.”
Prime is based in Liverpool International Business Park.
