Premier Inn signs with Amadeus in Preston

Whitbread has signed up to operate a 136-bed Premier Inn hotel at Amadeus' mixed-use scheme in Preston which gained planning consent this week.

The Premier Inn will anchor the Fox Street scheme alongside 18,000 sq ft of ground floor retail accommodation and 74 serviced apartments.

Tim Mulholland, director of Amadeus, said: We are delighted Whitbread will be anchoring the scheme and are pleased to announce the scheme will also provide Preston's first purpose built serviced apartments, offering 74 apartments available on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis ".

The scheme was designed by Manchester architects, Harrison Ince, and is expected to start on site this year.
