Premier Inn proposes Cheadle Royal expansion
The hotel chain wants to add 25 rooms by extending the building while also demolishing the adjoining restaurant.
Premier Inn has submitted an application to Stockport Council seeking permission to build a two-storey annex comprising the additional rooms at its Cheadle Royal Business Park site.
In addition, the hotel chain wants to knock down the neighbouring Table Table restaurant. Following the demolition of the restaurant, food and beverage provision will be retained on site.
“[Premier Inn] has identified a specific need to deliver additional bedrooms at this site, as well as to modify how the on-site restaurant provision is to operate,” a planning statement from Walsingham Planning states.
The hotel has been expanded twice before, once in 2004 and again in 2017. The latest plans would see the number of rooms increase from 85 to 105.
Alison Pike is leading on design.
