PP O’Connor submits plans for Trafford Park office

Demolition and civil engineering contractor PP O’Connor has submitted a planning application for an office and warehouse development in Trafford Park, designed by architect Falconer Chester Hall.

The site off Trafford Park Road and Mosley Road, formerly owned by Washington Mills Electro Minerals, is currently home to a number of low-rise industrial units. It was used by Washington Mills to produce mineral products until April 2017.

Buildings on the site will be cleared to make way for an 11,315 sq ft, three-storey office for PP O’Connor staff and a 9,160 sq ft warehouse to house the company’s fleet of demolition vehicles, as well as four refuelling stations.

The company, which works with main contractors across the region including Laing O’Rourke and Henry Boot Construction, is currently based on Woodrow Way in Irlam.

PP O’Connor has submitted a hybrid application for the development to Trafford Council: a full planning application for the office and warehouse, and outline consent for a recycling facility at the site.

The recycling facility will be used by the contractor to dispose and re-use construction waste generated on its sites.

Zerum acted as planner for the scheme. Neighbouring businesses to the development include delivery firm CHEPUK and cold storage company TDG UK.
