Power in Property – who will be the inaugural winner?

The first winner of this new award will be chosen from a list of the 50 most influential people in the North West property sector, compiled in a new initiative from Place North West and commercial interior design agency Scene.

The award honours an individual we believe has made a standout contribution to the region’s success in the past year. The victorious individual will be revealed during an exclusive, invitation-only event at Manchester’s Everyman cinema on 3 February.

Power in Property has been established to recognise the business and civic leaders transforming the region’s towns and cities.

Who might figure in the list? Developers, architects and construction leaders setting new standards, council figureheads harnessing investment for sustainable, meaningful change, brokers responsible for bringing in fresh occupiers and advancing new ideas.

The full list, featuring profiles on each entrant, will be published on Place North West on 4 February.

Dino Moutsopoulos, commercial director of Place North West, said: “We wanted to create something special to mark the efforts and endeavours of the people behind the region’s ongoing regeneration. Never has it been more important to celebrate their collective achievement, given the turbulence and challenge of the past two years.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Scene to tell their stories and shine a light on their successes.”

Courteney Kiely, founder and creative director of Scene, said: “It takes vision and conviction to deliver the kind of schemes that are now gracing the skylines of our region’s towns and cities.

“Power in Property is about recognising the decision-makers, the visionaries and the risk-takers who are making that happen.

“We’re proud to be partnering with Place North West on such an exciting initiative and look forward to celebrating their achievements on the big screen next February.”
