Poet’s Place on track for Q2 completion
Fit-out of Caro Developments’ 127-apartment rental scheme in Liverpool has begun and the project is expected to complete in the coming weeks, the developer said.
The £14.5m Poet’s Place is on Great Homer Street, the northern gateway into Liverpool city centre.
Once complete, it will offer a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom homes with under-croft parking. The development is next to the £150m Project Jennifer regeneration project, which includes a Sainsbury’s superstore and district retail centre opposite the 100-acre Everton Park.
Caro director Steve Smith said: “Our research shows that people want the convenience of a well-located and well-connected home, but without the downsides of noise, expensive parking and congestion.
“Poet’s Place fills what is a big gap in the Liverpool market and we’ll be revealing prices and availability soon.”
Fit-out of the first-floor apartments has commenced and work will progress floor-by-floor throughout the spring. Caro is to manage the lettings directly.
Smith added: “People are reassessing how and where they live in light of the pandemic and we can offer a central location but with plenty of green space in the locality along with a high standard of design and fit-out.”
The project team includes architect Falconer Chester Hall; Simply CDM; WYG Management Services as employer’s agent and quantity surveyor; Newry Construction; PSD as M&E consultant; ADS as structural engineer; WSP as fire consultant; Wardell Armstrong on acoustics; RoyleMac10 as structural warranties advisor; Assent Building Control, and PB Sustainability.
