Plus to develop Edge Lane residential scheme

Liverpool Land Development Company has appointed the Plus housing group as the developer for a project to create 18 new apartments on Edge Lane, Liverpool.

Plans for the homes, which will be built on land next to Phoenix Primary School in Fairfield, a site which was originally home to two derelict Victorian villas, are currently being drawn up. Work will start on the scheme this summer.

Ian Hassall, LLDC chief executive, said: "The appointment of Plus Housing as the preferred developer of the site is another important milestone for the wider Edge Lane Project.

"This scheme and new commercial developments like Liverpool Innovation Park are helping us to achieve our key objectives to create a much-improved eastern gateway into the city and to make Edge Lane a great place to live and to work."

The project is part of a plan to create a much-improved eastern gateway into the city.
