Plans in for first Alderley Park homes

PH Homes has submitted a planning application for 74 homes at Alderley Park, following its acquisition of 13 acres at the former AstraZeneca campus in Cheshire last year.

The £60m development is designed by traditional architect Robert Adam, and includes a mix of detached, semi-detached and mews styles, alongside sport and leisure facilities, a gastro pub, boutique hotel and farm shop.

Each of the classical house types have been created to complement the historic surroundings, with the original listed walled garden, arboretum, water garden and serpentine at the Park used as a backdrop.

The PH Homes scheme is the first residential phase of a £160m masterplan for the 400-acre Alderley Park, outlined by owners Bruntwood and Manchester Science Partnerships.

There will eventually be up to 275 homes. The new phases sit alongside the ongoing creation of 410,000 sq ft of science space, in addition to the 1m sq ft already in place.

Although the site already has outline planning consent, consultants HOW Planning worked with PH Homes on the preparation of the reserved matters application.

Following the submission, PH Homes is targeting a start on site of spring this year.
