Two hundred guests joined Place North West for the informal dinner designed to offer an alternative to the traditional corporate black-tie awards do. A string quartet and champagne reception, sponsored by Pin Property Consultancy, were followed by a noisy dinner with North West classic food and lots of conversation in the stunning dining hall at the former Freemasons Hall on Bridge Street, with entertainment provided by juggling jesters and a magician. After dinner, the fun continued with break dancers performing in the wooden lodge room, before a DJ set and photobooth dressing up took guests into the early hours. Guests said they welcomed the chance to relax and spend more time mingling and talking to one another.
A charity jukebox raised more than £1,200 for two local charities helping people in poverty and homelessness, Wood Street Mission and the Whitechapel Centre – donors bought tracks in advance for DJ Nic Kozubik to choose from during his set.
