Place North West Development Map launches

The region’s first interactive development map launches today, a joint venture between Place North West and technology company Deetu.

Place North West Development Map was created to highlight development sites and investment opportunities. It aims to give the industry a deeper understanding of projects in the region and allow companies to advertise the schemes they are working on.

Linked to Place North West’s quality news coverage, the map will illustrate the stage a development is at, and track the milestones in its journey to completion.

Viewers can scroll around the region to see projects in different areas, switch between 3D and 2D viewpoints, satellite and standard map styles.

The map is free to view, and advertising package details can be found on the Advertising section of our website.

Key features include:

  • 3D pop-up of schemes on the online map, hosted by Place North West
  • branded pin on the map to show scheme’s location
  • link to the project on the map will appear in relevant news stories
  • direct mail to the Place North West database to promote your scheme, as well as banner advertising on Place North West

Deetu is the creator of the global project directory and interactive map for the 2019 and 2020 editions of Mipim, the annual event for the international property community.

Jon Frost, director of Deetu, said: “We’re really excited to be working with Place North West, creating their new development map and providing a fantastic new way to showcase the developments and projects of the North West.

“The partnership of our Explore product, designed to provide intuitive map-based access to property and development information, with Place North West’s coverage of the regional property industry is a natural fit, and it’s great to see the new development map launched – the first of what we hope to be a number of joint initiatives, watch this space!”

Kirsty Butcher, product director of Place North West and PlaceTech, said: “This is the first North West map of its kind and we’re pleased to provide access to readers for free.

“We’re always looking to innovate and use our position to help match readers and opportunities in the region. I look forward to seeing the map build up as more developers come on board to attract investors and drive traffic to their sites”
