Place event: Building for the technology era
Place North West is hosting a free half-day conference in Manchester next month to explore the increasing importance of technology in property, covering data storage and infrastructure, cloud computing, power engineering and the digital sector.
Place Tech is organised in association with law firm DWF and will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 20 November.
Place Tech is an ideal opportunity for property managers in large companies and active developers, landlords and advisers to hear an expert briefing from engineers, architects and data handlers with experience of managing major property-technology projects.
There will be four keynote presentations:
- Frank Mills, engineer on Media City UK and formerly director of Sinclair Knight Merz, with Paul Newman, director of communications at Media City UK, providing an overview of designing and delivering the Peel Media development
- James Wilman, sales and marketing manager, Future-Tech, an industry leading UK specialist in data centre design, build and construction
- Julie Simms, partner in real estate at DWF, outlining a legal checklist to consider during a large relocation or real estate technology project
- Ashley Griffiths, managing director of The Loop, Manchester's newest tech asset, a 48-mile fibre optic network underneath the city, stretching from Salford to the Sharp Project
