PKF Littlejohn hires ex-CBRE director

The restructuring-led accountancy group has brought real estate specialist Shaun Skidmore into its Manchester team as a consultant.

Skidmore, who worked with CBRE between 2007 and 2025 as a senior director in operational real estate, will bring extensive experience in the hotel, leisure, healthcare and operational living sectors to PKF Littlejohn Advisory’s client base.

A Fellow of the RICS and a registered valuer, Skidmore has more than 25 years’ experience across operational real estate, having run his own boutique advisory since leaving CBRE.

His skillset includes valuations, investment advice, operational and development disposals and acquisitions, strategic consultancy, feasibility studies and asset management across a broad range of alternative real estate sectors.

Skidmore said: “PKF Littlejohn Advisory has earnt a reputation for providing practical and commercial financial solutions for business that are experiencing challenges.

“It’s no secret that the real estate sector is facing some headwinds at the moment – particularly around increases to operational costs brought about by changes to National Insurance, the cost of labour and cautious consumer behaviour.  I am keen to work with the team to support businesses encountering these challenges.”

Paul Smith, partner at PKF Littlejohn Advisory UK, said: “Shaun is a trusted adviser and will bring a combination of deep occupational market knowledge with real estate expertise to support our clients through complex and high-value property transactions.

“Shaun’s extensive experience advising owners, operators, investors and lenders will help clients to unlock value, manage risk and deliver successful outcomes across the real estate life cycle.”

Over the first six months of 2026, PKF Littlejohn Advisory’s 11 York Street-based Manchester team supported clients across a wide range of sectors, helping them to restructure £18m of HMRC debt, protecting more than 2,000 jobs.
