Pinsent Masons selects property partners
The law firm has promoted Ann-Marie Salmacis and Michael Smith to partners in the Manchester office.
Salmacis joined Pinsent Masons in 2008 and works in Manchester’s property development and investments team. She advises clients on large-scale commercial deals with a focus on logistics, regeneration projects and strategic land assembly and promotion.
A graduate of the University of Manchester, she previously worked as a solicitor at Goodman Harvey after training at Wake Smith between 2003 and 2005.
Michael Smith has worked for Pinsent Masons for 20 years, specialising in in property dispute resolution with a focus on complex disputes concerning trespass, interpretation of property contracts, restrictive covenants, dilapidations and contentious issues under the Electronic Communications Code.
Pinsent Masons also made a third lawyer partner in the Manchester office – Alasdair Weir in the corporate team, who specialises in public company law, IPOs, secondary offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and takeovers.
In total, the firm announced 17 new partners in its 2020 promotion round. The new roles take effect on 1 May.
