Pin completes Big W shed refurb
Pin Property has completed the redevelopment of a 270,000 sq ft dilapidated warehouse in Rochdale, formerly occupied by Woolworths, which it has sold to car care company Tetrosyl.
The unit in Royle Barn Road, which Pin has renamed Big W, sits on a 17.5-acre site.
The extensive refurbishment by contractor M3 Construction involved stripping away the original asbestos roof, fitting steel column extensions to raise the height of the warehouse from 8m to 12.5m, and installing a new composite roof.

New cladding means that that building looks like a new-build externally and internally.
The Big W was sold prior to completion to local company Tetrosyl, producer of car polish brand T-Cut.
Iftikhar Majid, chairman of Pin, said: “This raising of the roof in Rochdale is the largest of its kind in the UK and we wanted to show the Manchester property community what we are now able to achieve with our skill set. We have delivered on time and within budget a fantastic distribution facility to Tetrosyl that will serve them for many years in the future.”
Joint agents WHR and Davies Harrison acted for Pin. Manchester law firm Kuits advised on the freehold sale.
