Phillips to lead UXI’s Manchester studio

Ivor Phillips has joined the small but growing architecture practice from Broadway Malyan, where he worked for nearly 20 years.

In his new role, Phillips will lead the team of six in helping clients navigate Gateway 2 submissions and in designing schemes for complex urban infill sites and more. The firm’s name derives from three words: understanding, execution, and impact.

Phillips has been instrumental in designing both international and national projects. In the North West, his projects have included the masterplan of Watson Street in St Helens and Q Developments’ Cross Lane PBSA in Salford.

Matthew Atkinson, managing director of UXI, explained why Phillips was the perfect hire for the company.

“With over two decades operating at the very top of the industry, Ivor brings a depth of expertise and strategic insight that few can match,” he said.
