Peterloo House redevelopment approved

Manchester City Council has granted AXA Real Estate planning permission to demolish Peterloo House near to St Peter’s Square in the city centre, to make way for a 105,000 sq ft office block.

The proposals for the 12-storey building in Dickinson Street were designed by Squire & Partners.

The development will include 30 car parking spaces and associated public realm improvements.

Peterloo House CGIThe seven-storey Peterloo House is next to Argent’s 273,000 sq ft 1 St Peter’s Square which completed in December.

The plot is also directly behind 2 St Peter’s Square, the 160,000 sq ft office currently under construction by Mosley Street Ventures on the site of Century House, Sussex House, Bennett House and Clarendon House.

The Planning Studio advised AXA on the application.
