Paul Smith joins BAM Properties

BAM Properties has appointed Paul Smith as northern development manager from Jones Lang LaSalle.

Based at BAM Properties' Manchester office he will be responsible for current and potential developments in the North West and North East of England.

Smith was part of the merged King Sturge team at Jones Lang LaSalle and has 12 years office and agency experience.

Paul Smith replaced Neil Mort who joined Praxis Real Estate Management.

He said: "Advising on the design and development of quality commercial projects has always been close to my heart and the opportunity to join BAM Properties was simply too good to resist.

"I am relishing the challenge of poacher turned gamekeeper and look forward to being able to make my mark by identifying and developing new sites in the north."

Michael Smart, development director for Scotland and North England at BAM Properties, said: "We are delighted to welcome Paul to the BAM team and I am looking forward to working with him on our existing schemes including Metro and St Peter's Square in Manchester and Latitude Blue in Leeds. I am sure he will bring a fresh approach as we start to develop new schemes."
