Pair of deals for Segro at Trafford Park

Segro has completed two lettings at Greater Manchester industrial estate Trafford Park, one to a new customer and the other with an expanding tenant.

The newcomer, AMC Auctioneers, has taken Unit A at the Redwing part of the park, totalling 35,817 sq ft, on a five-year lease.

In the second deal, storage company AKW Group, which already occupies 560,000 sq ft, is expanding to take an extra 78,666 sq ft at Units A and B, Wharfside on a one-year lease.

Segro said the deal reflects its more flexible position than its predecessor at Tarfford Park, Brixton, which it acquired in summer 2009 and which tended to hold out for headline deals.

Hazel Lambert, leasing executive at Segro, conducted the deals and said: "It's important for Segro to grow and develop new business relationships across our North West portfolio. The AKW Group deal indicates the way Segro is successfully working with occupiers, giving them the opportunity to take advantage of attractive and flexible lease terms."
