Orega signs at 20 Chapel Street

The serviced office provider is to make its Liverpool debut after agreeing a 10-year lease on 18,000 sq ft at the landmark office owned by British Airways Pension Trustees.

Orega will occupy most of the first floor and entire second floor and expects to begin operating in June, following refurbishment. Serviced office operator YSes previously traded in the space. This will be Orega’s third centre in BAPT space following Canary Wharf and Aberdeen.

The Orega deal comes after a number of existing tenants signed new  leases at 20 Chapel Street. EY, which occupies 6,000 sq ft, committed to a further five years and Fujitsuextended its lease on 4,000 sq ft. Accountancy firm RSM agreed a 10-year lease to more than double its space at 20 Chapel Street to over 6,000 sq ft.

Sam Walker, director of Canmoor, which bought 20 Chapel Street on behalf of BAPT last year, said: “The last few months have been extremely positive and it’s great to see new tenants as well as existing occupiers signing up to long term leases.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Orega in the summer, as well as the mix of SMEs that use Orega’s offices, which will add to the vibrancy of the building.”

Twenty Chapel Street was completed in 2008 by Rumford Investments and comprises 155,000 sq ft across 15 floors. Worthington Owen is the sole letting agent. Quoting rents are £18/sq ft.
