One Heritage completes Oldham court conversion
County House, the 42-apartment redevelopment of the town’s county court, has been handed over to Arcon Housing Association.
One Heritage acquired the Oldham site in early 2020 and secured planning permission for the residential conversion the following year.
Acting as development manager, the listed firm appointed Winworth Construction to deliver the project having struck a forward funding deal with Arcon, a subsidiary of Bolton at Home.
All 42 apartments will be available for affordable rent.
Jason Upton, chief executive of One Heritage Group, said he was “thrilled” to see the completion of County House.
“The scheme marks the completion of our first partnership with a housing association, and we are grateful to the entire project team for their work on the scheme.
“Not only are we really pleased with the quality of the product provided, but we are also delighted to have transformed a local landmark building which is centrally located.”
The wider project team for County House included architect Studio KMA, principal designer RJD Associates, and employer’s agent Neo Projects.
One Heritage is also behind plans for a 55-storey tower in Salford’s Greengate district. The building would be the city’s tallest once complete and Midgard is lined up as main contractor.
42 apartments in a conversion in Oldham… to a 500+ units, 55 storey tower in Central Manchester… that’s like a toddler becoming a 50 year old overnight!
