On the Beach signs with Orbit

Orbit Developments has let 17,500 sq ft of offices at Park Square, Cheadle to On the Beach, an online travel agent.

Founded in 1995, On the Beach sells holidays in popular beach destinations and has more than 700,000 customers a year.

As part of the 10-year deal, On the Beach will relocate 150 employees from its current Didsbury base to Park Square, which will act as the firm's new UK headquarters.

Orbit said housing a call centre and administration on one single floor plate was an essential requirement for the deal.

Rhys Owen, leasing surveyor at Orbit Developments, said: "We have seen a real demand for Park Square since the first high profile client moved in. The building offers high quality, affordable office space in a professional environment with on-site amenities. These benefits were exactly what On the Beach were looking for in their office search.

He continued: "There are two-and-a-half floors available offering floor space from 10,000 sq ft to 55,000 sq ft with strong interest already for part of this."

Jackie Taylor, facilities manager at On the Beach, said: "After a recent expansion we are delighted to be moving to our new base at Park Square. The building ticks all the boxes and we are looking forward to our business growing from strength to strength at our new UK base."
