OBI claims top spots in 2015 agency leagues

OBI Property and Edwards & Co were the most active letting agents in Manchester last year, according to the MOAF 2015 league tables.

Figures compiled by the Manchester Office Agents Forum showed OBI Property topping the table for landlord disposals, followed by Edwards & Co and CBRE. Edwards & Co was top by number of deals for landlords, with WHR second and OBI third.

The table for tenant acquisitions shows fewer deals, with OBI coming out on top by volume and frequency.

Richard Lace, in the transactions and asset management team at OBI Property, said: “The coming year shows no signs of slowing down, we’ve already converted the Squire Patton Boggs deal, recently been instructed on 22-24 Fountain Street totalling 22,150 sq ft and our workplace and building consultancy departments are working on some great schemes.”

When the results for Salford Quays, South Manchester and Old Trafford were added to the city centre total, Canning O’Neill topped the table with 584,000 sq ft of space let. CBRE was second with 561,448 sq ft and Edwards & Co third with 487,118 sq ft.
