Northstone makes hat-trick of hires

Peel L&P’s housebuilding arm has appointed Chris Okey, James Forrington and Chris Pells to management roles to support its growing pipeline of projects.

Okey has joined as managing estimator from PlaceFirst Construction where he spent just under two years.

Pells, another former PlaceFirst Construction employee, will take on the role of architectural manager at Northstone. He will work alongside design director Richard O’Brien and architectural technologist Ben Canning to design upcoming projects.

Forrington has been appointed engineering manager having previously worked for housebuilders including Bellway, where he spent a decade, and, most recently, Keepmoat Homes.

The hires take Northstone’s headcount to 18.

Launched in October 2018, Northstone is on site building out 150 homes in Silkash in  Westhoughton, one of five active projects.

Northstone is also due to start construction of a 239-home scheme in Barrowford, Pendle.

The housebuilder is also eyeing planning approval for two projects in Bolton as well as developments in Ellesmere Port and Wigan.

Peel Group has also announced that  group communications director Paul Newman is to step down from his role after 12 years.
