Northern Trust buys in Bootle

Lancashire property group Northern Trust has acquired Maritime Enterprise Park, a 70,222 sq ft multi-let industrial estate in Bootle, from Hansteen for an undisclosed sum.

The portfolio comprises 21 units across four blocks, with units ranging in size from 1,291 sq ft up to 8,560 sq ft. Around 19,000 sq ft is currently vacant.

The estate sits off the A565, one of the main arterial roads into Liverpool, around 2.5m from the city centre

Tom Parkinson, director at Northern Trust, said: “We have been expanding our multi-let industrial portfolio, and in the last 12 months we have added over 300,000 sq ft through new acquisition and development.

“Maritime Enterprise Park offers an excellent mix of business accommodation in a strategic location, complementing our other estates in and around Liverpool, and is part of our on-going strategy to acquire and develop multi-let industrial assets to support the SME business community in the area.”

The estate will be managed by Northern Trust’s in-house surveying practice Whittle Jones.
