Next 140,000 sq ft of Kingsway sheds comes forward
Wilson Bowden Developments is seeking planning approval for four units at the 420-acre Rochdale industrial scheme.
The developer, which is working in partnership with Rochdale Development Agency, Rochdale Council, and Homes England to deliver Kingsway, has submitted a planning application for 140,000 sq ft of industrial space off John Milne Avenue.
The units, designed by DLA Architecture, would range in size from 16,000 sq ft to 61,000 sq ft.
To learn more, search for application reference number 23/01324/FUL on Rochdale Council’s planning portal.
The submission of plans for the nine-acre plot L follows the signing of a forward funding deal for two units totalling 200,000 sq ft on plot J2, located immediately to the south.
Cabot Properties has acquired the scheme and Wilson Bowden has instructed Glencar to build out the development.
Occupiers at Kingsway Business Park include Asda, JD Sports, Amazon, Danish Crown, E-on UK, and Dachser.
Kingsway Business Park is one of three employment allocations that make up Atom Valley, a proposed 17m sq ft advanced materials mega-cluster that straddles Oldham, Bury, and Rochdale.
