Zeus takes space in King Street

Investment banking boutique Zeus Capital has agreed to take the 3,925 sq ft top floor at 82 King Street in Manchester at a headline rent of £30/sq ft.

F&C REIT Asset Management is the landlord at 82 King Street and recently completed an extensive refurbishment of the building. Zeus Capital will relocate from Ralli Courts in Salford, joining the Rothschild Group, Credit Suisse and Regus in 82 King Street, where there remains 30,000 sq ft of space available across five floors.

Recruitment group Robert Walters signed a lease for 5,000 sq ft in Spinningfields' 3 Hardman Square earlier this month at £32/sq ft, one of the highest rental figures seen in Manchester. Rents in Spinningfields are normally priced at between £28/sq ft and £30/sq ft.

Daniel Plummer, head of regional offices at F&C Reit Asset Management, said: "It is great to see that the investment we have put in to 82 King Street over the last year has paid off with this high profile letting. The addition of Zeus Capital to the existing tenant mix really sets the tone for the calibre of occupier we are looking to attract to the scheme.

David Thwaites, associate director of letting agent GVA, said: "With a dearth of Grade A space available in the prime core the remaining accommodation is perfectly placed to offer occupiers high quality accommodation at an iconic address. We are already receiving considerable interest in the remaining floors."

Zeus Capital, which also has offices in London and Birmingham, has advised on several high profile stock market flotations in recent months including Boohoo.com, Flowtech Fluidpower and MySale.

GVA, TSG Property Consultants and WHR Property Consultants are joint letting agents for the building.
