WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff boosts Manchester team

The professional services and engineering consultancy has relocated three staff and made a new senior hire to expand the Manchester office’s building services team.

Andy Temple has relocated to the Manchester office from London as director, with a remit to lead the growth of the building services business across the North West. Temple was previously a technical director and brings with him specialist knowledge of healthcare, education, commercial, residential and high rise schemes.

Craig Smith has relocated to Manchester as technical director, with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry. Smith has spent the past six years heading the ‘Complimentary Resource Centre’ in India, which supports the delivery of major building services projects in the UK and globally.

James Saywell has transferred to Manchester as an associate director from the San Francisco office where he led the built ecology team.

Brendan Duigenan joins the building services team as technical director for science and technology, having formerly headed up the pharmaceutical arm of PM Group in Birmingham.

Matt Hann, building services director for the North of England and Scotland at WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff, said: “The new additions to our Manchester office add further leadership, technical excellence and specialist knowledge to the already wide-ranging expertise of our building services team. Andy Temple’s leadership combined with more senior project directors and technical experts, especially in sustainability, energy performance of buildings and the science and technology sector, will play a key role in achieving our business aims in the region.”

The building services team is now 30 strong and recently advised on Renaker’s Owen Street project in Manchester.
