The fit-out contractor has been appointed to deliver [pin url=”https://explore.deetu.com/pnw/#111-piccadilly”][/pin]111 Piccadilly, which is to become one of Manchester’s “smartest buildings” as part of Bruntwood Works’ larger £50m investment in its office portfolio.

Workspace is set to work closely with architect 3D Reid who will manage the project. Workspace will start the seven-month fit-out in August.

Workspace previously worked with Bruntwood across the North West and Birmingham, including on St James’ Building, Manchester One, and Oxford House.

Russell Davis, managing director of Workspace Design & Build, said: “This is a pioneering scheme for Bruntwood Works and one we are really pleased to be involved with. We have developed a strong relationship with the team and fully understand the wider vision for this £50m investment.

Andrew Cooke, regional director at Bruntwood Works, said: “We’re really excited to progress our plans for 111 Piccadilly to create an incredible space with community and collaboration at its heart. Investment in cutting-edge technology including air quality and heat-sensors will help to create one of Manchester’s smartest workspaces.”

The building is set to see a café lounge, exhibition area, and event space installed on the ground floor along with ‘the gem’, a photovoltaic lighting structure that can be seen from the outside.

A planted entrance is being designed and installed by ANS, and a garden with trees will be planted outside the reception in partnership with City of Trees.
