Work starts on speculative Deeside scheme

Working on behalf of Trebor and Maple Grove Developments, Eric Wright Group has begun construction of three speculative industrial units totalling 84,000 sq ft.

Situated within the Deeside Enterprise Zone, the scheme will see units of 50,000 sq ft, 24,000 sq ft, and 10,000 sq ft delivered on the site, which will be available to purchase as freehold or lease.

The scheme has been backed by a development grant from the Welsh Government, and has been designed by AJA Architects.

Legat Owen are joint agents for the scheme with Cushman & Wakefield; Mark Diaper of Legat Owen said: “There is a lack of good quality industrial space available in the North Wales area, which has meant many businesses looking to relocate have had to compromise on both location and build.

“Welsh Government’s proactive approach and ability to fund the development coupled with the joint venture’s determination to make the scheme happen has resulted getting this scheme off the ground.”

Ken Skates, North Wales minister for the economy and transport, added: “The Welsh Government is committed to boosting the future prosperity of our enterprise zones and this investment is a clear example of that. The delivery of new sites and premises is also supported by the North Wales Economic Ambition Board and the North Wales Growth Bid as a regional priority.

“These industrial units will provide excellent space and an ideal solution for business needs.

“We will continue to explore opportunities which will support the growth of our economy and I look forward to seeing this development completed next year.”
