Women in Property joins Place for research project

To mark International Women's Day today, Place North West and Women in Property are launching a joint survey to gather the attitudes and perceptions of women working in the industry around the region.

Lisa Raynes, architect and WiP North West committee member, said: "This survey aims to discover if the myths about women working in the property industry hold any weight. I would encourage women to participate as the results will help the branch to gain insight into the barriers and good practices within the industry and understand the level of support needed.

"At WiP we focus on providing our members with a network of like-minded property contacts and we hope that honest views from women already in the industry will demonstrate the varied opportunities, positive outcomes and real experiences from our time in property."

The questions in the survey are as follows…

  • What is the biggest obstacle you have overcome in your career?
  • What do you see as the barriers to progression?
  • What are your ambitions and do they include staying in the industry?
  • What advice would you give to a woman entering the industry?

To complete the survey please click on this link . The survey will also be circulated around WiP North West's members to gather their views. The findings of the anonymous survey will be published on Place in April.
