Withey joins Space Invader

Manchester interior design studio Space Invader has appointed Rachel Withey as a senior designer.

Previously of The Fairhursts Design Group, Withey has nine years' experience working for with clients such as Holiday Inn, GlaxoSmithKline and Salford University at MediaCityUK.

The appointment sees the two-year-old business grow its team to five and comes as Sarah Dodsworth is promoted to associate.

Space Invider director John Williams said: "In the past twelve months we have designed over two million sq ft of commercial space, which is a fantastic achievement.

"We have new enquiries coming in regularly and a real ambition to expand the business to ensure we can compete for requirements of all sizes so building a core team of dedicated interior specialists is top on our list of priorities at the moment.

"Rachel is a great fit for the business and is a fantastic addition for us with her proven track record. We are also delighted that Sarah accepted the promotion to associate. We have known and worked with Sarah for a number of years and couldn't think of a better person to join the senior management team."

Space Invader was established in 2010 by Williams and Simon Millington who were previously at HKR Architects. It has worked on a new head office for digital marketing agency Madhouse, a number of schemes for Bruntwood in Manchester and a government census facility at Trafford Park.
