Winwick Quay Business Park to expand

Winwick Quay Investment Partnership has received planning consent for a further 70,000 sq ft of trade counter units and 185 car parking spaces, as well as a new road creating direct access onto the A49, at Winwick Quay Business Park in Warrington.

Since taking ownership of the 400,000 sq ft business park in February 2008, Winwick Quay Investment Partnership has invested nearly £2m transforming the site with a further £5m planned.

Gareth Riddell, of Riddelltps, agents for the site, said: "Its excellent location on the A49 and lying directly off Junction 9 of the M62 means we have experienced record levels of interest and lettings despite the current economic climate. We can now add to the tenant mix by incorporating new trade counter uses along with our existing occupiers. The new link road will also give the site direct access to the A49 which currently has up to 50,000 cars passing the site each day."

Stort Eskens, AA Baits, S2 Photography, Babies World and sports footwear brand Asics are amongst the tenants based at the business park.
