Wincanton signs for Crewe warehouse

Wincanton has taken 230,000 sq ft at Crossflow 380, sublet by Tesco, on Weston Road in Crewe.

The Tesco lease has 18 months left to run and the quoting rent was £4.75/sq ft. Crossflow 380 is owned by Legal & General. White goods online retailer AO also occupies part of the building.

Stuart Murray, industrial director at Savills, advising Wincanton, said: "Crossflow 380 benefits from a superb location close to the M6 which, combined with its flexible and first class industrial specification, made it an ideal solution for Wincanton. The letting forms part of the firm's ongoing strategy to meet its customers' needs by acquiring new sites."

Savills also secured two units totalling 150,000 sq ft at Heywood Distribution Park on behalf of Wincanton in late 2014.
