Wincanton reshuffles shed portfolio

Logistics giant Wincanton, represented by Savills and Cushman & Wakefield, has sold The Cube at Whitehouse Industrial Estate in Preston Brook to filter company Clarcor.

Clarcor will occupy the 151,769 sq ft shed in its entirety.

Wincanton recently acquired 151,421 sq ft of industrial space at Bury Point on Bury Road in Radcliffe from Cantt Pak on a 10-year lease.

Meanwhile, Wincanton has sub-let 163,209 sq ft at Trax Park, Decoy Bank South in Doncaster to Armstrong Logistics, on a new agreement expiring in September 2022.

Stuart Murray, industrial director at Savills, said: "This sale at Whitehouse Industrial Estate, acquisition of new space at Bury Point and subsequent sub-let at Trax Park are all part of Wincanton's ongoing asset management strategy to streamline its property portfolio and distribution network."

Ian Henderson, group property director at Wincanton, said: "The sale of Preston Brook and subletting at Doncaster complements our recent acquisitions including Bury Point and will ensure we have an effective property portfolio that supports our business moving forward."
