Willis Towers Watson signs at First Street

The risk management and insurance brokerage company has agreed to take a 10-year lease on 11,600 sq ft within the sixth floor of N08 First Street.

The 170,000 sq ft building, which is owned by the Greater Manchester Pension Fund and Patrizia, was developed by Ask Real Estate. The scheme is situated in the middle of the £500m wider First Street development and was completed in August.

There is 26,000 sq ft remaining on the fourth floor.

Mark Baldwin, associate director at Avison Young, said: “Securing a global name of Willis Towers Watson’s calibre is a massive endorsement for N08 First Street.

“The company’s arrival now leaves only one final floor in the building, 26,500 sq ft of Grade A office space.”

Avison Young acted as the leasing agent on behalf of GMPVF in partnership with Savills. JLL was the advisor for Willis Towers Watson. The building was designed by Fletcher Priest Architects and delivered by Rayner Rowen.
