WHR reports deal at Trafford Park

WHR Property Consultants has let 46,000 sq ft of Mammoth, a 216,000 sq ft shed off Ashburton Road West in Trafford Park, on a two-year lease to Supreme Imports, Europe's largest distributor of batteries.

The quoting rent for the unit is £2.50/sq ft. Supreme Imports already occupies 80,000 sq ft next door and has the option to expand in to a further 75,000 sq ft during the next two years.

Gary Chapman, associate partner of WHR, said: "This is another sizeable industrial letting and to a fast growing company. Royce 220 presented the ideal opportunity for Supreme Imports as they are based next door and the space also gives them the flexibility to expand further, which is a positive sign of their intent."

Andrew Beaumont, director of Supreme Imports, said the extra space would be used to help develop the firm's consumer and industrial lighting division.

WHR acted for Kruger Tissue which has the original lease on the property. The remaining space of over 150,000 sq ft remains available to let on competitive and flexible terms.
