WHR heads to St James’s Square

WHR Property Consultants is to relocate to 11 St James’s Square in Manchester city centre, having agreed a 10-year lease for a 3,200 sq ft suite.

The firm’s project management team will carry out a comprehensive fit-out of the new office space with the aim of moving in before the end of the year.

Gareth Buckley, partner at WHR, said: “WHR has only ever had two homes in the centre of Manchester in its 13-year history and we have taken the opportunity to relocate to somewhere that will provide the flexibility and opportunity for further expansion.”

Buckley added that the opportunity arose following the £5.27m purchase of the building by WHR client Beech Holdings in January. Beech plans to convert the upper floors to residential accommodation.

He concluded: “After 10 years in our current offices at the Lexicon, this is an exciting new chapter for us and we are looking forward to moving into an area of the city centre that is already a hive of activity from both a commercial and development viewpoint.”
