Whitfield & Brown wins Maghull care centre contract

Widnes-based builder Whitfield & Brown is working with KKA architects to construct a £1.7m facility on the behalf of charity Parkhaven Trust.

The new 8,514 sq ft single storey building will provide day care and respite facilities for people with dementia and constructed within the grounds of Parkhaven's site in Maghull, north Liverpool.

Whitfield & Brown said the project is aiming to be complete by October this year.

The building is being designed around an internal courtyard that separates it into four main areas of entrance; day care, respite care and staff areas.

The centre will comprise of six bedrooms for short term residential care, four bedrooms for elderly people, and two bedrooms will form part of the early onset unit. All bedrooms include en suite facilities.

A reception, cafe, interview and consulting rooms and separate lounge and dining rooms will also feature.
