West Lancs planner makes move to Acland

West Lancashire-based Acland Bracewell, chartered surveyors and town planning consultants, has hired Claire Wilkinson from West Lancashire Council as an associate.

Wilkinson worked at West Lancashire Council for more than 12 years, as a senior planning officer, forming part of the major planning applications team and specialising in housing and mixed-use schemes including regeneration, education and health care.

Her experience includes large scale green belt strategic site releases within the West Lancashire Local Plan, which has the largest green belt allocation of any borough in England.

Wilkinson said: “Acland Bracewell Surveyors is a well-established practice with an extensive client base of landowners in the North West. I was attracted to working for the company specifically for the reputation for providing a professional and personable service to their clients.

“I am excited and privileged to be joining the company at a time when the planning, development and strategic promotion part of the business is positively expanding. I am looking forward to applying my skills and knowledge‎ to working in the private sector, and, in assisting the growth of the company in the future.”
