Weightmans appoints head of planning

Law firm Weightmans in Manchester has recruited Lee Gordon from DLA Piper in a new role as partner and national head of planning within the real estate team.

Gordon worked with DLA Piper for 10 years advising on all aspects of planning and related law. His experience includes acting for both private and public sector clients across a range of sectors, including advising on various major energy and infrastructure projects, strategic residential developments and retail schemes.

Based in Weightmans' Manchester office, Gordon will be working with the real estate teams throughout the firm's nine offices, alongside Weightmans' environment, construction and public sector teams.

Gordon said: "The firm has an excellent client base and retains a clear focus on client service. I look forward to working with clients and colleagues and continuing to develop the firm's planning practice."
