Wates supports Manchester Question Time

Wates Logo [JPG] [RGB] CopyWates Group has joined Savills and BECG in sponsoring Place North West Question Time: Manchester’s New Agenda, which is set to be a highlight of the year’s event calendar.

Taking place on 30 October, this event will see Manchester City Council chief executive Joanne Roney, leader Richard Leese, Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, and chief executive of the Combined Authority Eamonn Boylan come together for the first time ever to answer burning questions regarding the past, present and future of the city’s development.

A high-level audience is set to attend at the Lowry Hotel, with invitees drawn from senior property developers, council leaders, investors, architects, civic leaders and planners, who will provide stimulating questions about Manchester’s journey so far, and what the future holds.

Tickets are priced at £150+VAT and are limited – email events@placenorthwest.co.uk to register your interest.

Wates is one of the largest family-owned construction companies in the UK, and has recently launched its facilities management business, Wates FM.

Recent Wates projects in Greater Manchester include the £30m Eden Boys and Girls Leadership Academies in Cheetham Hill, the £55m Vita scheme at Circle Square, the £6.2m Ben Street regeneration project, Stockport’s £45m Redrock leisure development and the £1.4m Worsley Leisure Centre.

Dave Saville, business unit director, said: “Wates has a long and successful history of delivering flagship projects across the North West, particularly in education, housing and leisure. Sponsorship of the Question Time event provides an excellent platform to understand the future of the region and how the private sector can help nurture positive relationships with clients and collaborators to drive the continued growth.”

Dino Moutsopoulos, commercial director of Place North West, said: “We are delighted to be working with Wates on this event. Given the gravitas of the people booked to attend, it was key we secured a sponsor that is building and shaping the future of in Manchester. We look forward to working with Dave, John and the team in the run up to 30 October.”

If you are keen to align your brand with the future of the city, whilst also accessing the region’s most senior stakeholders, find out more about sponsoring this event here. There are only two sponsorship opportunities remaining for this event.
