Wates adds regional director from Sisk
David Saville has joined Wates as a business unit director in the North West as it looks to win more work in the region.
Saville has been at Sisk for around three years as regional director for major projects. Prior to this, he spent 14 years at Laing O’Rourke holding health & safety and project leadership positions.
In his new role with Wates, he will lead the contractor’s project portfolio in the North West as well as targeting additional work with private-sector clients, particularly in the high-rise residential and commercial sectors.
Projects the contractor is currently appointed on include a hotel at Liverpool’s cruise liner terminal.
Paul Dodsworth, managing director of Wates Construction North, said: “Our reputation in the region has been built on our exceptional standards in project delivery, the breadth and diversity of our in-house capability and our financial stability in the industry.
“There is a great deal of investment being made in new developments across the North West, projects to which our extensive expertise are very well suited. David’s experience will be invaluable in leading the growth of our business as we look to continue building on our success.”
A very cool-headed, competent and intelligent operator…a cut above most of the Regional Directors out there…a huge gain for Wates and a huge loss for John Sisk.
All the best, Dave.
