Waterman marks growth with new base

An increased order book has led construction consultant Waterman to relocate its Manchester office to new premises as it expands.

The structural engineer, whose track record includes Liverpool's Metquarter and Spinningfields in Manchester has relocated to South Central, 11 Peter Street.

The new office provides room for an additional 10 members of staff, as well as its current 65-strong workforce.

It marks the third time the company has moved to keep pace with work demands since its launch in 1990.

Back then it was based in Elisabeth House with just four structural engineers. But in 1995 the business added building services to its list of client offerings, and moved to Queens Court. Five years on, the company expanded into environmental science and engineering, and relocated again – this time to Riverside.
